The Mekong sessions

Ange Takats is an award-winning Australian singer/songwriter who has been performing for the past 15 years. She began her music career in Bangkok where she was working as a foreign correspondent for Reuters by day, and a folk singer in a Thai band by night. In 2009 she released her first album, Aniseed Tea and toured it extensively around Australia. Four years later she released her second album, Arva, which received high praise from music critics in her homeland and abroad, and resulted in several awards. She currently resides in Luang Prabang where she is often found sitting by the Mekong with her guitar, singing songs. In this clip she’s performing a cover of a Gillian Welch song called ’Winter’s Come and Gone
